Fly-in Destination:
Sonoma County / Santa Rosa KSTS

Sonoma VineyardThere are three airfields close to each other, all starting with the name Sonoma. This one is Santa Rosa Charles M . Schultz Sonoma County Airport (KSTS), the largish airfield with a VOR on it. ATC and most pilots call it simply Santa Rosa as it is close to that city.

Good place for lunch and watching planes. Check out the Pacific Coast Air Museum. Even if it is closed, there are many interesting aircraft outside to look at.

If you have more time to spend, Sonoma Valley has a wonderful collection of wineries to visit and places to stay. Not as trendy as Napa Valley, or as crowded!
